On 30th May 2017, 12th KL Boys Brigade Company went on an expedition to Gunung Nuang, the highest mountain in Selangor. This mountain is 1493 meters high and has two hiking routes to the peak. The route that our company took is located at Janda Baik, Pahang. The objectives of this expedition course are to conduct yearly outdoor program for the members of 12th KL Company and to develop interest in members towards mountain hiking

activities.
We arrived at school at 8:00p.m on 29th May 2017, the day before we go to expedition. The reason we arrive at school the day before the expedition is because wehave to arrive at the mountain's entrance by 7:15p.m and the company isafraid that we wouldn't make in time to reachour destination.
At 8:15p.m, lance corporal Kok Foong gave us a short briefing about how it is going to be when we arrive at the mountain. He and lance corporal Jayden will leave a trail of paper for us to follow so wewon't get lost. There are leeches and other wild animals wandering throughout the mountainsso he also told us to be aware of our surroundings. Mr Meshach also told us some rules that we have to adhere on the mountain like shouting people names, not asking permission before urine on the mountain, kicking joysticks and some other things that we must be aware of.
At 5.15 am, we washed up and quickly packed our rucksacks and had our breakfast. At 5:30a.m, the corporals and lance corporals did a final check on our rucksacks to make sure it is not too heavy because the main thing a hiker face is mass on his rucksack.
We reach our destination at 7:15a.m. When we are almost there, a few cars were blocking our way into the entrance so we have to walk to the entrance. Our journey starts there and when we arrive at the entrance, the first challenge awaits us.

Our shoes are soaking wet because that's the good thing, there are mud tracksall the way and it is good because it is better to get soaked in water than in mud first. The first person to get bitten by leech is Private Anders while Lieutenant Andrew was the first one to get cramped. On the way, Warrant officer Sir Jeffrey caught a scorpion and gave Lance Corporal Jasper as a souvenir.
We reach the first waterfall at about 9.45 pm and washed our legs that are covered in mud. At 8:10a.m, we continued our journey to the peak. We reached the peak between 12.45 and 1.15 and Lance Corporal Kok Foong was the first to reach the peak. We rested for about 30 minutes and we started to descent.

Everyone reached the mountain entrance by 7.00 pm and the last person to come out is Private Gerald Ng. We reached Wesley Methodist School by 9 pm.
