On the 28th August 2017, the 12th Kuala Lumpur Boys’ Brigade went on a swimming and movie outing organized by Lance Corporal Loh Colin. There were 38 members and 4 officers participated in this outing; one of our senior member - Corporal Teh Eng Hong also joined the outing.
At 7:30a.m., all members participating in this outing are required to gather outside of PJ Palms Sports Centre. Once everyone has arrived, Lance Corporal Loh Coling took attendance and then followed by the separation of members taking the Swimming (Basic) Badge and the Swimming (Advance) Badge. There were 17 members taking basic, 7 members taking advance and the rest of the members can play and have fun in the swimming pool.
After that, everyone changed into their swim attire. Before jumping into the pool, Corporal Jasper Chin, Corporal Justin Tan and Corporal Chew Jian Xun led us in a round of warm up. Then, everyone went down into the pool. The test for both swimming basic and advance badge was assessed by Captain Nicholas Yeap. The test is from 8:30a.m.-11a.m., this means that the members have ample time to play, practise and take the test. Members who did not take the test or has already passed the test can play and have fun until 11a.m..
At 11a.m., everyone left the pool and went to an A&W restaurant nearby to fill their stomach. We were given time until 12:30p.m. to eat as the bus only arrives here at 12:30p.m.. There were 15 members that passed the Swimming (Basic) Badge while there were 7 members that passed the Swimming (Advance) Badge.
At 12:30p.m., the bus arrived. Everyone went on the bus and the driver took us to Jaya Shopping Centre nearby. However, some members and officers did not join us for the movie. When we reached there, we went up to the cinema to buy tickets for our movie - Cars 3. While waiting for the show time for Cars 3 to start, we bought snacks and beverages to eat and enjoy inside the movie. At 1:10p.m., we went into the movie.
At 3:30p.m., the movie finished and many of us enjoyed the outing. We then went down to Baskin Robin on the ground floor where we were dismissed.
