"When I was form 1, I was 'forced' to enter a uniform unit called The Boys' Brigade because apparently it was compulsory for us to join. Even though I had joined many uniform unit like

Scouts, St. John or PBSM during primary school, but I have never heard of 'BB' before, so immediately, I wanted to quit BB because I had no interest and let's be honest, who wants to wake up early every Saturday just to go to school again when you can sleep at home. But as time passed, I was encouraged by my friends to join many of the activities organized by BB and slowly, I found my interest in BB and I started to like BB, and now, I'm so glad that I'm still here in the 12th Kuala Lumpur Boys' Brigade, serving God and the company as much as I can.

But as time goes on, more and more of my friends started to leave BB until there was not more than 10 of my batch left. This quickly impacted me as nearly all of my friends, even some that I'm really close to, started to leave BB, and it made me want to leave as well. But, Jayden and Gerald, two of my very good friends, not only they didn't leave BB like everyone else, but they were passionate about it too, that made me wonder to myself 'if they are still so passionate about BB then why aren't you?' So from that day onwards, the spark in me has ignited, and the flame has never gone out ever since, and I really thank God for giving me this opportunity and not giving up on me. Now, I'm not afraid to tell anyone that I'm a BB member from 12th KL, because this is my passion, because 12th KL is my second home, because this is who I am."
